The Hills of Mokset Day Hike

Yesterday Art and I had the pleasure of taking a group from Tirana. Northern Albania is covered in amazing hiking trails, one of our favorites is the hills of Mokset in Gashaj (42.283025, 19.387027). The trail borders Lake Shkoder, a spring called the Black Eye, several old communist bunkers along the path and an old army post with several out buildings. From the post elevation capture 360° panoramic views of the mountains of Albania, the valley town Bajze and Montenegro Mountains. It is a beginner/intermediate hike, 2-4 hours depending on the routes.
